I have contemplated, sought advice, and tried, in various forms, to understand the methods of and reap the benefits of social media and entrepreneurship.When asking for advice and opinions from friends and family, they smile and nod. "Oh, sounds great." Another popular angle is, "that'll never work". That's my favorite. People giving me advice about something they know nothing about and automagically being a professional towards the subject, all while hating their own lives. That just screams motivation...eh?
This book, modestly priced at $1, covers, in 960 or so fun-sized iPhone kindle pages, what this single individual did to become the successful photographer and media entrepreneur that she is...right now!
Everything in the book is true (I bought it three hours ago and read it every word), real, sincere, and correct. If you want tried-and-true advice for a very generous price in an easy-to-read manner, purchase this eBook. Even the references to web services and the first chapter will pay for itself many times over, both in would-be research time as well as personal motivation to make this type of thing work for you.
The book is not an infomercial, and nowhere in the book does it explain how easy this will be. IT INVOLVES WORK, DEDICATION, AND TIME. If you're going to purchase the book and expect it to immediately generate passive income that allows you to retire on a beach chair with umbrella drinks, don't even bother. Go day-trade stocks or something. (I'm allowed to bash day-traders because I am one!)

Leigh is honest and direct and does not pretend to be someone she is not. I've acquired many great tips from Leigh when I'm too lazy to do the research myself. This is a great little ebook that one can read quickly and it provides enough information to get one started in creating a business using social media. In the end it's up to the the individual to make it all happen.
Enjoyed her progress from start up forward. Practical value to anyone wanting to do something similar. Good luck, pretty lady!
The author describes how she has followed her passion, photography, while developing a more steady stream of income than she was able to make as a freelance photographer doing weddings, senior portraits etc... This is her account of the different things she has tried. What worked and what didn't. It gives an insight into the incredible amount of work, patience, perseverance and thick skin required to get such a venture off the ground. If youv'e ever considered making a living using the internet and social media than this is a great read.
Like everything about Snapchick.com, it's personal. The book is a easy read, written in a style that feel more like a conversation over a couple of beers, then reading a book on a dot.com start up. And amazingly along then line, solid useful information is passed onto the reader.
I highly recommend Memberture for anyone, photographer or not. It would be a heck of a value at ten times the price!
With all the information on the internet, the price of 99 cents is about right. It does read like a diary/narrative but could have been condensed down to a few pages. However, she leaves out a lot of information that helps her sell her site and products. I know she is a skilled photographer. However, in this industry it's getting increasingly difficult to make any money with so many people having cameras, cellphones, and giving away their services, or pricing them at a substantially reduced price. Probably, I should have rated it as a three but there are additional avenues to market that aren't discussed. It would have been nice if she would have gone into more detail. She doesn't hit any substance until about a third of the way in the manuscript. There was good information referring to the web-links she used to get the project up and going. And she is honest that millions are running to join her paid VIP group. She has model beauty and some of her YouTube videos showcase that to a primarily male audience. For marketing, that is fine. Madison Avenue does that day in and day out. If it makes you successful, I'd be the last to stand in someone's way. However, she is a talented teacher and photographer. I don't care if she was the sexiest woman in the world, I go to these sites for information. If I were a beginner or intermediate photographer, her sites would be wonderful. But that's who she is catering to and that is great. I hope she makes a lot of money and is successful in her photography career. I just wish the book had more information and had a guide to additional resources. That's my 99 cents worth.
